PepsiCo sustainability meeting hosted by RS Cockerill.
Several PepsiCo suppliers attended a workshop at our Dunnington offices on nutrient management. This was part of PepsiCo's 50 in 5 initiative to reduce their carbon footprint and water use by 50% in 5 years. The workshop focused on the efficient use of nitrogen given that the application of nitrogen fertiliser currently constitutes around 50% of the carbon footprint in supplying potatoes. The information was well received by all the growers and agronomists in attendance.
