Non-stop planting
Planting is virtually over for R S Cockerill Farms. The photographs show them planting Estima at Holme-Upon-Spalding Moor. The majority of their potato cropping is dedicated towards crisping varieties, but as well as Estima and Melody, there are a few acres of Panther being grown to supply the pack house. It’s been a non-stop run from start to finish, but its remarkably dry. With plenty of dust flying, Will Baker (Farm Manager) is looking forward to a drop of rain to get the crop off to a good start.
