Growers make most of the sunshine
R.S.Cockerill held a varieties trials meeting for our I-Crop growers in partnership with PepsiCo International at Scampston trials field on Tuesday 2nd July. The new and existing crisping varieties were inspected and discussed, this was led by Debbie Winstanley from PepsiCo International and Mike Dangerfield. The current status of the 2013 I Crop program was reviewed. The I-Crop program monitors crisping crops across our grower base measuring all aspects of the growing crop to help the development of better husbandry practices on specific varieites, linking into the PepsiCo UK program. Lunch was provided at the walled gardens in Scampston, and we would like to thank them for the delicious food that was provided.
